So FILMS is a distribution and production company based in Poland, distinguished by its fresh approach to sales, PR, and marketing. We seek high-quality, auteur-driven feature films, documentaries, and short films for theatrical distribution, as we firmly believe that films are meant to be experienced on the big screen! Our team consists of industry professionals with years of experience working with distributors, producers, film festivals, and other entities in the audiovisual sector.
So FILMS first full-length title under independent distribution was the documentary In the Rearview. We served not only as its domestic distributor but also managed its post-production, international festival strategy, and promotional campaign locally and abroad. The film was showcased at over 100 festivals in Poland and abroad, earning numerous awards, making the shortlist for this year’s Academy Awards (Oscars), and receiving a nomination for the Polish Film Awards (Eagles) in the Best Documentary Film category.
We are also involved in the production and distribution of short films. For years, we have distributed Oscar-nominated short film collections, thanks to a long-term collaboration with a global sales agent. Last year alone, we organized over 130 screenings across Poland, in 54 independent cinemas. Highlights from recent collections include: The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar (Wes Anderson, 2023) – Academy Award Winner.; War Is Over! Inspired by the Music of John Lennon and Yoko Ono (Dave Mullins, 2023) – Academy Award Winner.
